Whispering Pines Preschool Reopening Plan For Education 2021-2022

Providing a safe learning environment has always been a priority at Whispering Pines Preschool, and never more so than during these past months. We began July 2020 by posting our business re-opening plan, training our staff on our new health and safety policies and procedures and securing needed materials. Based on policies set forth by the Governor in conjunction with the New York State Department of Health, our center-based programs, began reopening in a limited way this past week on July 28th, starting with select program sites in Amsterdam, Delanson, and Cobleskill. We are committed to delivering a dynamic educational experience for our children. There are times, however, when external circumstances, including a world-wide health and humanitarian crisis, impinge upon our ability to deliver our program on-site or as intended within the IEP. In these circumstances, as a school and as a community, we must find alternative strategies for teaching and learning. DOWNLOAD HERE

This guidance is intended for all staff, students & family attending Whispering Pines Preschool, to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our school. Reopening America requires all of us to move forward together by practicing social distancing and other daily habits to reduce our risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. LEARN MORE

Whispering Pines Preschool has established protocols and procedures, in consultation with the local health department(s) (See Attachment 1- List of counties and LHD contacts), about the requirements for determining when individuals, particularly children, who screened positive for COVID-19 symptoms can return to the in-person learning environment at school.
