Hello, I am Julie, a social worker at Whispering Pines Preschool. I have enjoyed working with preschool age children for the past few years. It’s been amazing to be a part of young children’s and family’s lives as they grow and build resiliency. I enjoy incorporating mindfulness techniques into sessions with children and celebrating the uniqueness of every family. I am working on building my play therapy approach with children. In my free time, I enjoy reading books, playing board games and spending my time near lakes.

Ashley Savage, LMSW, Social Worker
I started working as a Social Worker for Whispering Pines in October 2021. I enjoy using hands on activities like emotion puzzles & coloring, social emotional books, and mindfulness activities. During my free time, I like to go skiing, travel, take my two dogs, Murphy & Gracie on walks, and spend time with family.

Karen Weatherwax, MS, CAS School Psychologist
Karen Weatherwax has worked as a school psychologist at Whispering Pines for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Western New England College in Psychology and then went on to The College of Saint Rose and received a Master’s Degree in Education and Advanced Certificate in School Psychology. She also has an additional certification in Speech/Language Disabilities. She enjoys working with preschool age students and helping children to access the services they need. Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family (her husband, two boys and dog) and is often found at the baseball field. Her kids both love travel baseball.
