Carrie Markel

After earning my Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood, I went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders followed by a Master’s Degree in Education, majoring in Special Education, with a preschool concentration. I’ve always had a passion for helping people, and my position as a Special Education Teacher at Whispering Pines Preschool allows me to fulfill my passions of working with, and helping preschoolers and their families. In my ten years at Whispering Pines Preschool, I have learned so much about this area of development and have established a daily classroom routine that incorporates daily opportunities to practice using and further develop a variety of positive social-emotional skills. I’m usually behind my camera lens when I’m not at work, because life goes by fast, and I want to capture and remember as many special and everyday moments as possible.
